Delete your Life Counter account
Updated: October 29, 2026
This page is for the Life Counter app (iOS and Android) by the developer NTL Work. You can delete your account and all of its cloud data at any time, or delete only some of your data and keep the account. An account is optional: if you never signed in, we hold no data about you on our servers.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open the Life Counter app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the Settings tab in the bottom bar.
- Scroll to the bottom, below the MORE group, and tap Delete account.
- In the Delete account? dialog, tap Delete to confirm (or Cancel to keep it).
Your account is deleted immediately, the app signs you out, and this cannot be undone.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can no longer use the app, email support@ntlwork.com from the email address of your account (the one you signed up or signed in with Google with), with the subject “Delete my Life Counter account”. Never send your password. We verify the request, delete your account within 30 days (usually much sooner) and email you a confirmation once it is done. If you cannot write from that address, include your account email; we may ask a few questions to confirm you own the account before deleting it.
Data that is deleted immediately
- Account: email, display name, hashed password and Google sign-in link. Every sign-in session on your other devices also stops working.
- Cloud backup: profile, journal and moods, moment counters, goals, habits and settings.
- Moment photos: the photo list, captions and photo details (day taken, size).
- Pro purchase history (transaction ID, plan, expiry date) and daily photo counters.
Photos stored on Telegram
Moment photos are stored in a private Telegram channel (see the Privacy Policy). When you delete your account, we ask Telegram to delete each photo right away. If Telegram temporarily refuses, the request is queued and retried automatically several times; if it still fails, we delete the photos manually. The queue keeps only the Telegram message ID, never your email or content. After deletion, Telegram may keep copies for a short time under Telegram’s own policy.
Data that is kept, and for how long
- Data on your device: deleting your account removes only cloud data. Your profile, journal and settings on the device stay until you uninstall the app or choose Settings → Erase all data.
- Pro purchase receipts: kept by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own policies, not by us. We never receive your card number or payment details.
- Server technical logs: IP address, time and path of each request, used to prevent abuse and fix bugs. These logs contain none of your content and expire on our hosting provider’s schedule.
Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active Pro subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play so you are not charged again, see Support.
Delete some data and keep your account
- One moment photo: go to Explore → Moments, open the photo, tap the trash icon, then tap Delete in the Delete photo dialog. The photo is removed from our database immediately and Telegram is asked to delete it as described above.
- One journal entry: open the Journal tab, tap that day’s entry, then tap Delete. Moment counters and goals can be deleted from their edit screens too. If you are signed in, your cloud backup is updated at the next sync.
- All data on this device: open Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Erase all data, then Delete. Your profile, entries and settings are removed from this device; if you are signed in, you are signed out and your cloud backup stays (to delete it too, delete your account as above).
Details on how we handle data are in the Privacy Policy. Need help? See Support or go back to the home page.
